BIOGRAPHY
“Impacting and inspiring with expressive music and immersive audio that encapsulates the art of storytelling.”
Jameson Michael Hegger is an award-winning media composer, score mixer, audio-post supervisor, re-recording mixer, and sound designer residing in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2024, he upgraded his studio with four Adam Audio A8H (L, R, Ls Rs), an Adam Audio A77H (C), and a Kali Audio WS-6.2 (LFE), enabling him to score and mix films in 5.1 surround sound, pushing the bounds of sound quality and immersion for independent films.
Jameson’s passion for music began at an early age while playing percussion in bands and orchestras. His musical spirit continued to grow as he discovered the extensive sonic possibilities of electronic music. The thrill of creating sounds led to a desire for audio engineering.
In 2020, Jameson graduated from the University of New Haven with a B.A. in Music and Sound Recording. During his undergraduate program, he had the privilege of studying in Nashville, TN, where he interned at Sound Stage Studios and took courses at Blackbird Studio. At Blackbird Studio, he studied under legendary engineer David Leonard (Toto, Prince, Rush) and producer/pedal-steel guitar player Steve Fishell (Emmylou Harris, Eric Church, Lady A).
Because of his love for a wide array of musical genres, Jameson chose to pursue a career in film scoring, earning his M.M. in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in 2022. Jameson’s diverse musical background and broad genre appreciation make him well-suited for films and albums in all styles and genres.
In October of 2024, Jameson received an Award of Excellence from the IndieFEST Film Awards for his original score for A.L.E.C., directed by Ryan Konig.
